FORCE10 NETWORKS’ KAREN BLASING NAMED FINALIST FOR CFO OF
THE YEAR
SAN JOSE, Calif., May 08, 2008 – Force10 Networks®, the pioneer in building and securing reliable networks, today announced that Chief Financial Officer Karen Blasing was selected as a finalist for Bay Area CFO of the Year for a venture-backed company. The award, sponsored by Larkin Street Youth Services and the San Francisco Business Times, recognizes those individuals who have played an integral role in the success of their own company and in the overall economic prosperity of the Bay Area.
“Karen and her team have been instrumental in aligning Force10 with today’s regulatory requirements and laying the financial foundation that will allow Force10 to operate in new markets,” said President and CEO Marc Randall of Force10 Networks. “This recognition is a testament to the importance of strong financial processes to the success of a company.”
In recognizing Ms. Blasing as a finalist, the selection committee of business, venture capital and academic leaders acknowledges her significant contribution to the company’s growth and performance. The award also recognizes the contribution of Force10 to the success of the Bay Area economy.
Award finalists will be honored at a gala dinner on Thursday, May 29, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco and will be profiled in a special supplement of the San Francisco Business Times on May 30.
